I am glad to return to Budapest and present a paper as part of the Hungarian Musicological Society’s 13th annual conference. I will present my paper Artifizio Senz’Arte: Towards a musical interpretation of an early-modern sociological ideal on 14 October.
On 11 September, I will perform alongside Jan Waterfield as part of the first Extrasensory: Music Festival in Glasgow. Our programme Reduction and Deconstruction will be accompanied by divine treats prepared by ‘Rum, Egg and Muck’.
I very much look forward to performing on 14 May, as part of this year’s Oxford Early Music Festival! Our programme, Looking at the smaller picture, with the wonderful Jan Waterfield on harpsichord will showcase a variety of Italian diminutions from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
On 4 May, I will appear on BBC Radio 3’s InTune to introduce my upcoming performance in this year’s Oxford Early Music Festival. I will play my own diminutions on Madre non mi far monaca and Doulce memoire. If you miss the live performance, the broadcast will be available on the radio’s website for another month.
