Very pleased to have become part of the mentoring team for Future Talent, the UK’s flagship charity supporting gifted young musicians from low income backgrounds.

I am glad to have been selected to present my paper A Game of Time: Rhythmic freedom & musical structures in the performance practice of late seventeenth & early eighteenth-century music on the 12th Conference of the Hungarian Musicological Society, focusing on the performance practice, history & theory of the eighteenth century. My presentation will take place on 10 October.

I look forward to a delightful concert of Henry Purcell and John Blow with Michael Chance & co. at the Stour Music Festival on 26 June.

I am pleased to announce that my PhD research project at the University of Glasgow was awarded a full scholarship by the Arts and Humanities Research Council . My research focuses on behavioural attitudes in the performance practice of Italian music during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
